About Us

“Holistic Development Association (R) was registered on 24th March, 2014 as a non-profit organization intending to reach general public through its valuable objectives. The welfare of the foundation is open to all irrespective of gender, caste, creed and status.

Under Holistic Development Association we organized few programs and activities for social welfare. In January, 2017 we started Swasthi Special School for Special Needs Children. We have another subsidiary Manasa Kala Amrutha dedicated for theatre performance.

In 2018 we renewed the registration with new name “Swasthi Foundation” vide no. DRB1/SOR/526/2018-2019.”

Under Swasthi Foundation we are running Swasthi Special School. Currently, we have 17 special needs students. We organize different cultural programs, workshops and camps.

Also, from this academic year we are starting Open School (NIOS) for general public.

About The Founder

The Founder & Secretary Mr. Murugan M. aged 36yrs started his journey aiming to make disable of the society to able to join the mainstream. He is putting all his effort to preserve the heritage of Indian Culture. Hence all training programs conducted by him are encouraged with aesthetic values. He has worked with Ramana Maharshi Heritage Centre as cultural in-charge for 10 years and Optometry Council of India as Administrative In-charge for 3.5 years.

He is secretary of Indian Scout Fellowship, Sanjay Nagar, Bangalore North. Mr. Murugan is a special educator, an active volunteer in several special schools for many years. He is a theatre artist and director. Under his own banner (Manasa Kala Amrutha) he has produced and directed 7 plays. He has conducted many awareness programs on voting, cleanliness, plantation environment and education. He has acted in Kannada series which has telecasted in Chandana and Shankara Channel.

Achievements of Swasthi Foundation

  • We change Lives- It is a great achievement for us when we see smile on faces.

  • Summer Camp- Every year around 50 children are benefiting (in 3 years total 132 students) by this program.

  • Free tuitions are provided every year to minimum 23 students.

  • Handcrafted Products- We showcase and exhibit handcrafted items (done by special children) for general public to encourage their talents.

  • We have organized Free Eye Camp for 11 BBMP school students.

  • Our 3rd Makara Sankranthi Celebration (2019) was inaugurated by MLA B.Suresh. In 2018 the crowd was around of 350. We arranged Traditional games and activities for children, felicitated and they are with certificates.

  • We celebrate Kannada Rajyotasav, where our school students perform dance and skit.

  • Our children participated in Arogya Mela organized by Mahanasa Ayurveda Centre.

  • Best upcoming Special School Award by Centre for Education Development.

  • Free Yoga classes and workshop are conducted.

  • Voting awareness through skit was done in public parks and slum of Sahakarnagar,

  • Sanjay Nagar, Yelahanka and Jakkur by our volunteers.

  • Awarded by Indian Scout & Guide Fellowship.

  • Recognition by Baptist Hospital, Bangalore.
